finished reading ‘the heart of the lion’ by jean plaidy (finally)

finished reading ‘the heart of the lion’ by jean plaidy (finally) about richard I, son of eleanor of aquitaine and henry II.

according to plaidy he was a very masculine gay man. he had a lifelong on and off thing with philip the king of france. the book however kind of dragged on and repeated stuff a lot. he went on some crusades and did all he could to not get married then when he did he did all he could to not spend intimate time with his wife.

i’m having a minor crisis now because i should have received the next book, “The Prince of Darkness“, but alas! it has not yet arrived. i hope that some scoundrel has not stolen it from the post office.
